As it turned out, Kallan had completely misunderstood the teacher&#039;s directions.

At a later parent-teacher conference at which I brought up the subject, the teacher&#039;s eyes grew wide with disbelief.

Poor Kallan with her worries pulled from the air.

I am so glad that part is behind us.

Kallan is back to being herself.

I like regular sassy Kallan very much.</description>

I love the different approaches to Valentine&#039;s Day cards that Kallan and Maj took. It speaks volumes about their personalities.

Sounds like Valentine&#039;s Day is a big deal in this country (where I come from, kids don&#039;t know or care about it; it&#039;s more for teenagers and adults).

Anyhow, just wanted to say how much I loved this post, and that it stuck with me. Did Kallan have it right about the teacher&#039;s card instructions, in the end?</description>
