Tonya hails from Tales of an Amazon Queen, and people?
She is not even fucking around . . . she is six feet of Amazon Queen!
I think the first thing of Tonya’s I read was this story of what a hard time she has being a passenger in a car on a road trip. It was a funny post, and although she mentioned that she had been in a car accident, that was not the point of this post. I commented in joking fashion.
And then she sent me a link to a post about the car accident. Fuck.
And a link to a post about her recovery and seeking solace in the dark solitude of 3:00 am.
And it’s that last post I am linking on the side of my blog, but how much do I hope that you will take the time to read all three posts?
So fucking much, people. So fucking much.
Texan Mama is a new friend from Who Put Me in Charge of these People?
She hails from Texas.
I know this because she has a big-ass map of Texas as her avatar photo when she comments.
She sent me a link to this post about the difficulties of making real friends as an adult. It struck a nerve with me, because I remember being in that very place. I left Texan Mama a long bossy comment, and if she follows my directions?
Soon she will be as well-adjusted and normal as I am.
What?
Shut up.
Andrea (Andy) hails from Crazy with a Side of Awesome Sauce, and despite the semeny thoughts her blog name always conjures up for me?
Love this woman.
Andrea is a woman of cats and poetry and photography and passion. She has an awesome Meet the Crazy Lady page, so I will let her tell you a little more about herself here.
And I will also mention that she is on Twitter as @andygirl and I am in love with her avatar photo. She has the most gorgeous neck on Twitter.
True story.
Ahem.
Andrea wrote about beauty, and I was just blown away.
I may have gone a little nutso in her comment section, but I was all caught up in the moment. So many people get it wrong when they talk about beauty. Andrea got it exactly right.
Seriously.
And finally? There is Roxane from DAYS, and what can I say about Roxane?
Roxane is a force of fucking nature. She is loud and foul-mouthed and brave and sassy and fabulous. She is hilarious. And she is a good friend. I recently asked her for a favor (I hate asking for favors), and Roxane not only did the favor, she did it in what another reader referred to as “fuck-worthy fashion.”
Can you ask for more than that? I think not.
Recently, Roxane posted the most gorgeous story of taking her kids to the drive-in movie. You can find that post here (It’s a guest post over at Nichole’s blog In These Small Moments, so don’t get confused).
And then Roxane posted this . . . such an amazing love letter to her husband.
I love Roxane.
