I have been all over the place commenting on the posts you have sent me.
Lots and lots of Christmassy posts . . . so awesome.
But you know what?
I just don’t know how much attention blogs get the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. I don’t know that being a Featured Blogger this week would get anyone very much extra attention. Sort of annoying to be featured during the lowest traffic week of the year, I would think.
Hmmmmm.
So I have marked the posts I think deserve attention, but for this week?
I am going to do something different.
There is a post I featured once before.
A brilliant post by Nichole from In These Small Moments entitled But Still . . . Christmas.
A poignant story of family and love and loss . . . all wrapped up in a moment.
It is exquisite.
So exquisite that it is being syndicated over on BlogHer.
A big honor.
Nichole is a good friend, a lovely writer, and the most generous woman I know. Most of you have either been to her blog or seen her comments here on Pretty All True . . . so you know what I am talking about. When my post ran over on BlogHer? Nichole set aside her whole day to help me spread the word. Really. Two days before Christmas, she set aside her whole day to help me.
Nichole’s post ran on Christmas Day.
Not the biggest blog-commenting day, in case you were wondering.
Nichole is a very good friend.
A very good friend and an exceptional writer.
So take a moment to drop by her house.
And then head from there over to her post on BlogHer.
Leave her a comment.
One day very soon?
You can say you knew her when . . .
Pretty All Sure.

I love you.
Beyond words, I love you.
Thank you for your generosity here, my friend.
This was completely unnecessary, but truly appreciated.
Also? I’ve been wondering about Nigel too.
Yes, well . . .
To go up on Christmas Day?
And then to have Twitter fall apart and fail whale for much of the morning?
You deserve some extra love.
You so do.
Plus also?
Nigel is beginning to piss me off with his extended break.
I may have to start thinking about replacing him.
What was that annoying man’s name?
The one I chased away because I was all cocky and thought Nigel would be here forever?
Dadstreet, I believe.
Whatever happened to him?
That is so nice that you’re plugging her post. I actually joined BlogHer just because of you so I did, indeed, read her post.
I am capable of sweetness.
As are you.
Look at us!
Ack!
I totally agree that Nichole needs some love. Her post was so beautifully written and she is one of the most beautiful writers…no…most beautiful PERSON that I know. Happy sighs for Nichole.
Agreed.
With all that you have said.
Nichole is amazing.
And you?
You are not so bad yourself, Katie.
In case you were unaware.
sometimes I am unaware. But I am ever grateful to wonderful friends like you and Nichole and a few others out there who kick my ass when it’s needed.
you’re all pretty fucking awesome
(ps. I swore. he he)
Hey, babe?
Just stopped by your blog.
You are far more awesome than you think.
What an awesome gift you gave your son.
All my love to your family.
Sigh.
thanks. I learn from the best. Nichole’s post helped me do that. I remembered how she gave Katie Christmas and I just had to smile and give my family Christmas too.
Yes, I could see that Nichole had helped you.
That’s lovely to think.
love Nichole!
Yay!
Me too.
Been there, commented on that.
Nice choice for today!
Hey, lovely generous you!
Yes, I thought so as well.
I had already read Chole’s lovely post. I thought the same thing about holiday week. Sad, but I also think that both of you will be back on
BlogHer again in no time. :)
OK, that so sounds like you think it will be sad that either Nichole or I might be invited back to BlogHer.
I know what you meant.
But at first, I was all . . . what the fuck?
Snort!
