New Featured Bloggers!

It’s Sunday!

I have a long to-do list in front of me here entitled Saturday.

So that’s annoying.

Let me just scratch off . . . the title.

I have a lot of shit to do today, people.

Snort!

But first?  I have to tell you about the new Featured Bloggers.

They are magic.

Nichole from In These Small Moments

Nichole writes about the magic in the small moments that we so often let slip by unnoticed.  She writes about magic, and she also has magic.  She has the ability to make you really feel the moment she is sharing.

The magic of transporting the reader . . .

Sometimes it’s a silly moment . . . as when she wrote about her efforts to take the perfect Christmas card photo.

Sometimes it’s a reflective moment . . . as when she wrote about watching her young daughter assemble a gingerbread house.

And then there is the post I have featured . . . a bigger more poignant story of family and love and loss . . . all wrapped up in a moment.

But still . . . Christmas

Serious magic.

Cameron from Move Over Mary Poppins!

Like Nichole, Cameron has been featured here before.  Cameron can fucking write a story.  Her fiction is awesome.

What else is there to say?

The woman can fucking write.

Her stories capture the intimacies of relationships in a way that makes you feel as though you know the characters.  You know them, and yet you finish the story wanting to know more about them.  I love when that happens.

Check out Foggy Glass.

And then read The Price of Defection.

And then check out the post I have featured . . . a story of the impulsiveness of youth and the willingness to risk.

Snow Fight.

Happy sighs at Cameron’s magic.

Angie from The Little Mumma

I don’t know Angie well yet.  When I clicked her link, I expected one thing.

What I got was something entirely different.

I love when I am caught off guard by helpless giggling.  So very much.

Check out her post, in which she discusses a bad day of mothering.

Some Days are Diamonds . . . snort!

So then I went to check out her About Page . . . and that made me giggle as well.

Writing that makes me laugh?

Happy magic.

People?

Check them out!  You will love these ladies.

And as always, they will appear on the right hand side of my blog under Featured Bloggers.

I have to go get some Saturday shit done.

Yes, I know it’s Sunday.

Sigh.

Share this post. I command it.

    • Well, you know I love Nichole and CDG…but Angie’s new to me so I’m gonna go check her out now!

    • Just peed a little bit – and it had nothing to do with the fact that I have pushed a human head out of my hooha.

Kris, maximum gratitude to you, lady. I am, truly, humbled.

      Picture me with virtual hard-on.

    • yay for Nichole and CDG!!! love them! Now off to check out Angie!

    • Okay, I’ll check out your suggestions. I can always use a bunch more funny.

    • Okay, so yesterday I was so touched by your kind words that I truly couldn’t form a coherent note of gratitude. So, I figured that by today I would come up with the perfect words to thank you. Still? I’m all weepy.

I can’t thank you enough for featuring me here…for your complimentary words.
But, more importantly, I thank you for your simple friendship. I am grateful each and every day that you have entered my life (or did I come crashing into yours?).

You have helped me to be a better writer, whether by inspiring me with your own writing, by encouraging me to push myself a little harder, or by just believing in me. You have had a tremendous impact on both my writing and my belief in myself.

Thank you…a million times over for a million reasons…thank you. I love you, Kris.

      • What am I supposed to say in response?

You have made me all teary.

There was a guest post I wrote a while back that never ended up being published in its entirety.

In which I said, in response to the question, “Name three bloggers whose every word you seek out to read,”

The first two are easy. My two best friends here in the blogosphere, whether or not they are aware of their importance in my life. If I were at all inclined to meet internet people in real life? I would meet these two for a beer.

And then I listed you and another person.

Pretty sure you know who that other person is.

DM me if you want to guess.

Not inclined to name that person here.

        And the third name?

        My nemesis Allie Brosh.

        Snort!

        Love you, Nichole.
