Ian from I Carried a Watermelon
You may remember Ian from this post in which I raved about him. I adore Ian. At the time I put up that post, Ian was in the middle of shutting down his blog.
Because Ian is Ian?
He did not stay shut down for long. He has a brand new and hilarious blog!
I know! What the fuck?
You don’t need to give him shit about it . . . I already did. Gave him that big fucking send-off. Told everyone to follow him on Twitter because he was all done with his blog.
And then he pops up again.
Oh, look! I’m Ian and I am all contrary and I am not so much leaving after all!

OK, so I interviewed Ian for his About Page, and as you might imagine?

Obviously, Ian’s new blog doesn’t have that many posts up yet, but he is awesome. The post I am featuring is one I have not even commented on . . . I thought I did at the time, but I guess I was giggling too hard and just thought I commented. Oops.

Erin from The Mother Load
Erin wrote a post a few months ago in which she named me as one of her new favorite bloggers. She sent me a note on Twitter expressing concern that I would object to being linked to the subject matter of the post. Silly Erin . . . it was a gorgeous and heart-rending post about love . . . I was nothing but honored to be linked to the post.
But because she expressed that concern? I think a teeny part of me felt like maybe she wasn’t quite ready to have hit “Publish” on that post. And so as gorgeous as the post was, I didn’t feature it here on Pretty All True at the time.
Which was so lame of me. The post deserved recognition. Erin deserved recognition.
I just worried she had made herself too vulnerable.
My bad. My apologies.
Because I read this post the other day, and I was all, “What the fuck? This is not a woman feeling tentative about sharing who she is. This is not a woman who would ask me if I minded being mentioned. What the fuck?”
And I went back to read the first post again. Wow.
Read them together, people. First this one. And then the featured post.
Erin is amazing, and I am sorry I did not let you in on this fact back in October.
My apologies.
